Environmental, Social & Economical
Aquaculture

We are the top supplier of kanpachi to the North American market and as such, we are constantly in the process of improving our product.

We’ve succeeded in doing this by maintaining a steady course over the last 20 years towards our end destination – a shared taste for innovation!

We are fully committed to sustainable aquaculture - and firmly believe that, if done right, is the key to nourishing a growing world population while simultaneously protecting our oceans from overfishing by providing an excellent alternative to wild-caught seafood.

Cage Rotation & Fallowing

Seriola rivoliana - known to sushi chefs as Kanpachi (間八) or Kampachi (カンパチ), and to fishermen as Amberjack, Almaco Jack, or Longfin Yellowtail - is a tropical pelagic whitefish found throughout the South Pacific. The flesh is firm, rich, and buttery with a flavor that some describe as a cross between Sablefish and Yellowfin. It's popularity in Japanese cuisine coupled with its origins in the Baja led to the name: Baja Kanpachi®
